ON SITE Operations in LIMS:
There are two main scenarios where On-Site Values must be entered in LIMS:
Scenario 1:
A number of tests require data collected during sampling to appear on the final report or to calculate values for other test codes.
eg: Un-Ionized Ammonia as N (NH3UI) requires pH (PHF) and Temp (TEMPF1) collected during sampling.
Note: These field values will typically be included on the COC, or are emailed in separately. If not provided, the field values have to be requested from the client.
Scenario 2:
A number of test codes require quantity to be entered in LIMS for invoicing purposes.
eg: Technician Time (TECH-CS) requires the amount of hours worked in order to calculate the billing total. Or Methanol Vials (VIALS1) requires the quantity of vials to be entered.
Entering Onsite values in LIMS:
Onsite values can be entered via LIMs using the JOBc module.
via EditAll:
1. Select the sample(s) and test code that require on-site values.
2. Select the ‘On-Site Results’ Tab
3. Click ‘Toggle THIS ONE Sample/test On-Site’ if only one test/sample requires onsite values
3a. Click ‘Toggle ON ALL SAMPLES for this test On-site’ if on-site values are required for all
samples/on-site tests.
4. Enter the on-site values
5. Click ‘Save On Site Results’
Missing COSTPERUNIT Invoice Error:
If a TMP Invoice is unable to be finalized due to ‘Missing COSTPERUNIT’ error, this means that on-site tests are included in the job, but no on-site values have been entered.
To correct:
1. Remove Price Approval from the job.
2. Delete the TMP Invoice or remove the test codes with On-Site from the TMP Invoice
3. Enter the On-Site values as per above instructions
4. Apply price approval to the job.
Note: if the test On-Site test has been added to a worksheet, it will need to be removed from the worksheet. Contact the worksheet creator to remove.
How to tell if a test code requires On-Site values:
In Test Maintenance (MTc) Cost Per Unit and/or Allow On Site are toggled on.
