What containers are required for a Basic Class II Landfill package?

Short Answer, based on Secure landfill acceptance protocols: 

BC: 2x methanol vials, 2x 125ml jars and 1x bag

AB: 2x 125ml jars and 1x bag   

SK: 2x methanol vials, 2x 125ml jars and 1x bag 

MB: 2x 125ml jars and 1x bag  


Detail: 

British Columbia: For a Basic Class II Landfill package (Total BTEX, Leachable BTEX, Leachable Metals including Mercury, pH, Flashpoint, and Paint Filter), we need 2x methanol vials, 2x 125ml soil jars, and 1x 1L soil bag.

Alberta: For a Basic Class II Landfill package (Leachable BTEX, Leachable Metals, pH, Flashpoint, and Paint Filter), we need 2x 125ml soil jars and 1x 1L soil bag. 

Saskatchewan: For a Basic Class II Landfill package (Total Toluene, Total Ethylbenzene, Total Xylenes, Leachable Benzene, Leachable Metals, pH, Flashpoint, and Paint Filter), we need 2x methanol vials, 2x 125ml soil jars, and 1x 1L soil bag. 

Manitoba: For Basic Class II Landfill package (Leachable BTEX, Leachable Metals, pH, Flashpoint, and Paint Filter), we need 2x 125ml soil jars and 1x 1L soil bag. 


Sometimes additional testing is required - please confirm with your landfill facility.
