Our Quality Program is designed to comply with or exceed the data quality objectives specified by Canadian Regulators, such as the Ontario MELP, Alberta Environment, BC MOECCS, MDELCC, and U.S. EPA.
Testing is typically completed for comparison to local guidelines for contaminant concentrations, such as but not limited to:
- Canadian Drinking Water Guidelines
- Canadian Environmental Quality Guidelines
- Provincial regulations such as BC CSR, O. Reg 153.
- Metal Mining Effluent Regulations (MMER)
Standard operating procedures (SOPs) are developed at each laboratory facility, reviewed frequently for performance and audited by Quality Assurance staff. In addition there are biannual audits to the ISO 17025 / 2017 standard by external accreditation bodies plus audits from major customers.
