Why do I need ice or ice packs?

Modified on: Fri, 8 Apr, 2022 at 10:08 AM

Ice acts as a form of sample preservation for some parameters.  In most provinces, it is recommended that samples should be received at less than 10°C.  An exception is made for samples received on the day of sampling as long as the cooling process has begun.

Check with your local jurisdiction or contact our Customer Solutions Team to confirm if you are required to comply with alternative temperature ranges.

Frozen samples or samples received above 10°C may require re-sampling depending on your requirements.  One of our Customer Solutions team members will contact you should there be any problems with your submission.
